Forward-backward asymmetry of Drell-Yan lepton pairs in pp collisions at 8 TeV | ||

Abstract: The measurement of the forward-backward asymmetry AFB of oppositely charged lepton pairs produced via an intermediate Z/γ∗ at √s=8~TeV is presented. The data sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 19.7~fb−1. The AFB measurement is performed for dilepton masses between 40 GeV and 2 TeV and rapidity up to 5. The final distributions are corrected for detector resolution, acceptance, and final-state radiation effects. The measured AFB distributions are found to be consistent with the standard model predictions. | ||
