| Abstract: The differential cross section of Z boson production in association with jets, in the muon and electron decay channels, is measured in pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of √s=8TeV with .6\,\text{fb}^{-1}ofdatacollectedbytheCMSexperimentin2012.Thedifferentialcrosssectionispresentedasafunctionofthejetmultiplicity,thetransversemomentumofthen^{\text{th}}jet,theabsolutepseudo−rapidityofthen^{\text{th}}jetandthescalarsumofthejettransversemomenta,forn=1,\dots,5$. The differential cross sections are then compared to theoretical predictions from MadGraph and Sherpa. | ||
