Abstract:
This document presents the azimuthal anisotropy analysis of prompt J/ψ→μ+μ− measured in collisions at √sNN=2.76 TeV, based on a data sample collected during the 2011 PbPb run with the CMS experiment at the LHC, which corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 150 μb−1. The analysis is performed using the event-plane method. Amplitudes of the second Fourier component (v2) of the angular distributions are presented as a function of the prompt J/ψ transverse momentum, pT, for different collision centrality classes, in a broad kinematic range, < \text{p}_\text{T} < 30GeV/cand|\text{y}| < 2.4.Themeasuredv_{2},averagedinthecentrality10−−60%forpromptJ/\psiwith.5<pT<30\,GeV/c measured in |y|<2.4 is .054 \pm 0.013 (\text{stat}) \pm 0.006 (\text{syst}).Anon−zerov_2ismeasuredinallthekinematicbinsstudied.Theobservedanisotropyshowsnosignificantcentralityorrapiditydependencewhenintegratedoverrapidityandcentrality,respectively.Thev_2ofpromptJ/\psi,measuredinthe10−−60%centralityeventsiscompatiblewithap_\text{T}$-independent anisotropy.
