Abstract:
A search for the standard model Higgs boson in the vector boson fusion productionchannel is reported for Higgs boson decays via WW bosons in fully leptonic final states. The analysis uses pp collision data at centre-of-mass energies of 7 and 8~TeV from the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.9~fb$^{-1}$ and 19.5~fb$^{-1}$ recorded by the CMS detector in 2011 and 2012, respectively. Upper limits on the Higgs boson production relative to the standard model expectations are obtained for a Higgs boson in the mass range 110-600~GeV, yielding to an observed exclusion at the 95\% confidence level between 131 and 275 GeV. The observed (expected) signal significance of 1.3 (2.1)~$\sigma$ for a standard model Higgs boson with mass of ~\GeV$.
