Study of the inclusive production of charged pions, kaons, and
Abstract: Spectra of identified charged hadrons are measured in p-Pb collisionsat the LHC at $\sqrt{s_{NN}} =$ 5.02\TeV. Charged pions, kaons, and protons in the transverse-momentum range $\pt \approx$ 0.1--1.7~GeV/$c$ and laboratory rapidities $|y| < 1$ are identified via their energy loss in the CMS silicon tracker. The average $p_\text{T}$ increases rapidly with the mass of the hadron and the charged-particle multiplicity of the event. The fully corrected $p_\text{T}$ spectra and integrated yields are compared to pp and Pb-Pb data at various collision energies and to several Monte Carlo event generators.
